The BBA shares vital information to help entrepreneurs know the importance of healthy lifestyles.  Business activity cannot continue accurately without a proper mind and body function.

For example, between 60%-70% of all cancers are linked to poor dietary and lifestyle choices. Many dietary factors can affect cancer risk: types of foods, food preparation methods, portion sizes, food variety, and overall caloric balance.

This combined with physical exercise & a high proportion of plant foods (fruits, vegetables, grains, & beans), reduces cancer risks, providing you limit meat, dairy, & high-fat foods.

Women entrepreneurs are extremely vulnerable to high stress levels resulting from being heads of family, civic activity, and business.

One out of nine women develop breast cancer.  Breast cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death among women.  If breast cancer is diagnosed and treated early, the five year survival rate is more than 90%.

Breast cancer risk increases with age for all women, where 80% of new cases are diagnosed in women over 50 years.

Women whose mothers or sister had breast cancer, or never had children, or had their first child after the age of 30 are at greater risk.  Four out of five women who develop breast cancer have no family history of breast cancer.

Our male members are consistently reminded that 'Prostate Cancer' is the second leading cancer killer of American men.

Men are at a greater risk when they have a strong family history of the disease.  African American men are at risk, particularly since there is a tendency to consume a diet high in fat and low in fruits and vegetables.

Prostate cancer, which tends to strike later in life, often grows slowly, and early prostate cancer often has no symptoms.

Most cases of prostate cancer occur in men older then 50 years, and while 75 percent of all prostate cancer cases are diagnosed in men over the age of 65 years, some young men are at increasing in risk too.
