To Whom It May Concern:
As you may be aware, Fannie Mae maintains a network of residential repair contractors in various states to handle foreclosure repairs. In an effort to expand our network to meet our business needs, Fannie Mae plans to issue a request for proposal (RFP) focused in Southern California which will be followed by similar actions across the country. We would like to ensure that we have an open and inclusive process for all firms that are interested in participating in this RFP. Therefore, provided herein is a formal invitation detailing instructions on how firms can register for the event.
We are reaching out to your organization to help us identify potential contractors. You can assist us in the following ways:
1. Provide us with a list of residential contractors from your organization so that we may contact them directly with instructions on registering for the pending RFP, or
2. Forward this email to your member enterprises to make them aware of the upcoming sourcing exercise, or
3. Solicit interest from your member enterprises and provide us with a list of those organizations expressing interest in this opportunity, or
4. A combination of the above.
Please let us know if and how you would be willing to participate in this outreach effort by responding to REO Repair_RFP@fanniemae.com by June 8, 2010.

Additional information about this opportunity:
Over the last several years, defaults in residential mortgages have left Fannie Mae holding title to a large inventory of foreclosed properties, many of which require some amount of repair before they may be marketed for resale. Current foreclosure volumes are prompting Fannie Mae to seek additional repair contractors who can meet Fannie Mae's requirements for quality and responsiveness.
